Family and Friend Caregiver Support

Caring for someone you know can begin with a conversation about the support already being provided and the help needed. Hands On Home Assistance supports family and friend caregivers with guidance on getting started and joining our care team. Our largest caregiving networks serve Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties.

We work with participating MI Coordinated Health (HIDE D-SNP) plans, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, HAP CareSource, Molina, AmeriHealth, Priority Health and Wellcare by Meridian, to discuss authorized care arrangements. The member’s health plan determines eligibility, covered services and authorization. Being a relative or friend does not automatically establish eligibility for a paid caregiving arrangement.

Contact our team to discuss the person’s location, care needs, current plan and your caregiving role. We will explain the applicable onboarding steps, required paperwork and how to ask the plan about authorization. Availability varies by location and schedule. You do not need to complete an application just to ask a question.
